All of our packaging is made from 100% recycled material - from the poly bag mailers to the tissue paper we use. All items are shipped via re-usablemailer bags vs boxes, as it is the lightest option, meaning the lowest carbon footprint. We strive to only give our consumers items that will be useful and not be thrown away immediately.
D&F Modern is a proud member of the 1% for the Planet organization where 1% of total sales is donated directly to an environmental nonprofit that helps drive positive change for the planet every year.

Our manufacturing partner works with local domestic material providers to develop apparel with the lowest possible carbon footprint in the USA. Their ethical and sustainable business practices include:
“Ethical labor and fair wages on every link of the supply chain for the vast majority of our clothing production using sustainable U.S.A. made materials.”
More than 80% of our products are made from sustainable, eco-conscious fabrics. Whether it’s recycled polyester or upcycled materials, we are working to ensure our apparel is the highest level of sustainability and quality.

So what makes up the price of goods?

We pull inspiration images and rough sketches and hand that information to a team of designers that create tech packs or blueprints for our products to be created. From there, our manufacturing partner creates an outline of the item of clothing and two samples to approve as well as grading each item for our sizing requirements.

Once the item is approved, our manufacturing partner cuts and sews the remainder of our order. After all the items are created, the team will attach all trims (hangtags, care labels, etc.), wash the items and then fold and place in our poly bags.

Because the majority of our fabric is made from sustainable, eco conscious material, we are paying a premium for the price per yard. Additionally, all of our products are made to withstand the elements of the golf course (weather, direct sunlight, etc.) so our fabrics are specially treated to be more durable and not lose any color.

Since all of our products and fabric are created and manufactured in the USA, we do not have to pay for import fees. We do have to pay for the bulk items to be sent to our warehouse through domestic partners like FedEx, UPS or USPS.
